Frequently asked questions
Short answers to what people ask most. Something missing? I’d be glad to hear it in the feedback section.
Which AI tools does it work with?
Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. Claude Code and Codex chats are read from their own records on your computer; an optional connection in Settings adds live status and questions. Cursor joins through its optional hooks. Answering a question from the office depends on what the source tool supports.
Does The Agent Office approve anything on its own?
No. It never approves a question, a tool permission or a command for you. It shows what is waiting and opens the source tool, so the decision stays yours.
Which Windows versions are supported?
Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit.
How much does it use?
About ~150 MB of memory while running and ~1% CPU when nothing moves; the installer is ~9 MB. These are approximate figures from our own measurements.
Is it free?
Yes, The Agent Office is free to use. Support is voluntary and unlocks nothing extra.
Where is my data kept?
Only on your computer, in the app’s own data folder under %LOCALAPPDATA%. Nothing goes to a server of ours; the privacy policy lists every request the app makes.
How can I remove it cleanly?
Classic installer: uninstalling from Settings › Apps also removes The Agent Office’s own entries from Claude Code, Codex and Cursor and its small helper.
Microsoft Store version: Windows cannot run that clean-up, so it is best to choose Disconnect for each connected tool in The Agent Office’s Settings first, then uninstall. Your other settings are never touched.
Does it work without AI tools?
Yes. Media controls, notes, timers, alarms and water tracking work on their own.
How can I reach you or report a bug?
Questions and suggestions go to GitHub Discussions; bugs are best reported on GitHub Issues. GitHub is the only contact channel.
